The Colloquium for Information Systems Security Education (CISSE) is proud to announce its 30th annual conference—the nation’s premier forum dedicated to cybersecurity education. This milestone event will be held in person at Ivy Tech Community College in Indianapolis, Indiana, from October 26 to 28, 2026.
The 30th Colloquium marks a milestone year for CISSE—bringing together educators, researchers, and practitioners to strengthen community engagement and shape a forward-looking program grounded in innovation, collaboration, and impact. Broad participation will be essential in advancing the future of cybersecurity education.

About CISSE
CISSE convenes educators, practitioners, researchers, and policymakers from academia, government, and industry to share innovations, propose new strategies, and improve cybersecurity curricula and educational practices. Interested parties are also invited to submit papers and posters, propose round tables,and submit relevant proposals for consideration of The Colloquium.
Submission Guidelines
- Original, unpublished work (parallel submissions are not accepted)
- Manuscripts must use the IEEE Manuscript Template: https://www.ieee.org/conferences/publishing/templates.html
- Word count: 3,000–4,000 words
- Abstract: ≤250 words
- Include adequate citations and DOI URLs for references where available
- All images, graphs, and tables must be original and high-resolution (300 dpi minimum)
- Papers must be anonymized for double-blind review or will be rejected
- Final accepted drafts must include ORCID numbers for all authors
- Include all authors at the time of submission; additions after submission are not permitted and will result in rejection
Presentation & Registration Requirements
- At least one author must register for and attend The Colloquium in person to present
- Only papers presented in person will be considered for publication in the Journal
Use of Generative AI
Authors must disclose any use of generative AI or automated tools in the creation of content. These tools may not be listed as authors.
Publication & Copyright
Accepted papers will be indexed with DOIs and published openly in CISSE’s Open Journal. Copyright remains with the authors; however, submission grants CISSE the right to freely distribute the work in both print and digital formats.
Student Submissions
Student authors must disclose student status at submission and must be the primary contributor. Students must be enrolled in a degree-granting program. One student paper will be recognized with the Erich Spengler Student Paper of the Year Award and receive complimentary registration to the following year’s Colloquium.
Publication
Proceedings will be published in the Journal of The Colloquium for Information Systems Security Education (JCISSE). For past issues, please visit CISSE’s Open Journal. Copyright remains with the authors, with free distribution encouraged. Submission constitutes granting CISSE the right to publish the work in the Journal or related publications.
